Polaroid - I

I made a Photoshop action to make ordinary photos look like aged Polaroids. The action requires you to select an area. It then crops that area, adds the background area with the canvas size tool. Then it adds color adjustment layers to over-warm the colors and slightly decrease the contrast and saturation. Then I add a gray layer above the image with "overlay" blend mode and then I add noise to it and set the opacity knob to 25% or something. Then dither the edges and rough up the photo area with charcoal&chalk filter applied to the transparency mask of the image.

Does it look authentic? How can I make it better?
